Web Site History
The original web site name “Southwest Hot Gifts” was started in 2001 to sell New Mexican made items and food. The “Hot” in the name reflected the hot green chiles that many of the foods contain.
It also represented the “Hot and got to have it” items for sale. The business did well and delivered sales around the world. Over the years more similar web sites and the suppliers themselves started web sites that undercut our prices. We decided to close that line of products and evolve into a site that displays and sells art and gifts of the southwest.
The new business name is “Southwest Hot Gifts and Art” and the "Hot and got to have it" will still apply.
The first items shown on the new web site will be the products made by Rebecca Golding, a long time resident of New Mexico and business owner. The products are photographs, small framed art, note cards, gift tags and prints of drawings.
We hope soon to add the art of others who live in New Mexico and other Southwest areas.
